Hair growth is enemy number one for many women; some even feel insecure due to hair on their entire body. The situation can become even more difficult when this hair growth is excessive and affects areas like the face.
This is the case for Supatra Natty Sasuphan, a young Thai girl who suffers from a rare genetic condition.
This young girl suffers from a genetic disorder called Ambras syndrome, also known as werewolf syndrome. Due to her condition, Natty has excessive hair growth all over her body, including her face. She was named the world’s hairiest girl by Guinness World Records in 2010.
On Natty’s birthday, her parents were worried that she would constantly be bullied and have difficulties living in society.
After the doctors diagnosed her condition and its origins, her parents realized that their daughter’s case was rare and that she might live with this amount of hair for her entire life.
Laser hair removal was tested as a treatment method for Natty, but this method did not prevent the hair from growing back and led to thicker and faster regrowth. Natty had no choice but to live with and adapt to her hair growth.
Like any parent, Natty’s father hopes that his daughter will one day be cured. But it has been almost ten years since the little girl won the award for being the hairiest person, and she has come a long way.
Natty is now a young woman who has started shaving her face and body and has found the love of her life. In fact, she has married a man she loves and shares her life with him.
