Jenny Darren, 68, who recently retired, has been a music lover all her life, and listened not just to boring lyrical romances, but to rather heavy rock music.
Her name is Jenny Darren. The woman decided to conquer the world-famous show, which takes place in 58 countries of the world.
Britain’s Got Talent season 12 was judged by British singer Alisha Dixon, show producer Simon Cowell, English comedian David Walliams, and British actress Amanda Holden.
When Jennie took the stage and told a little about herself, no one thought that it would be a worthwhile performance.
As soon as the sound engineer turned on the backing track, Ms. Jenny took off her cardigan and old-fashioned dress, which amazed the jury and the audience.
In front of the eyes of the whole of Britain, a modest participant turned into a real “rock grandmother” in a couple of seconds. The new image simply shocked the audience: cool heeled leather boots, a leather skirt, a black top, loose long hair.
And the song choice was Highway to Hell by AC/DC.
The audience and the jury gave her a standing ovation, and then they all began to dance.
Since she was 12 years old, Jenny has been singing. She interacted with many famous singers.
She also worked with drummer Nicko McBrain before he joined Iron Maiden. In the 1970s, she could have received huge fame, but she missed her chance. After all, Darren once toured with AC/DC.
The song from her own album “Heartbreaker” was wildly popular, peaking at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. But Pat Benatar called himself the author, and all the laurels went to him alone. And the charismatic woman was left with nothing.
Until recently, she performed in the group The Ladykillers. The vocalist was no longer paid money, and she decided to quit the thankless job. Now she is free-floating, and also created her own website.
