Elderly Couple Bring The House Down With Incredible Boogie-Woogie Dance

A senior couple from Germany has garnered legions of fans all over the world for themselves after a video went viral showing them performing a boogie-woogie dance.

While attending a gala for the Horn dance school in Linz, Austria, Dietmar and Nellia brought the house down after they stepped up to perform.

The Horn dance school was founded 111 years ago and is still one of the most renowned dance schools in Europe. It teaches numerous styles of dance, including Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Foxtrot, Boogie, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba and Samba for beginners. The school gives students the choice of either lightning courses, that last a few hours, or intensive courses that last for 12 evenings.

Dietmar and Nellia Ehrentraut have been married for nearly 50 years, and they have been dancing professionally for over 30 years. They have won numerous dance competitions together, including Austrian and German national dancing championships with their specialty dance skills from the 1940’s and 1950’s, the Lindy Hop and Jitterbug.

In the video below, you’ll see Dietmar and Nellia perform a boogie-woogie style to the song “Down the Road Apiece” by Johan Blohm & The Refreshments. The couple certainly does not disappoint with their performance!

The crowd at the gala was stunned to see the older couple perform with the energy of teenagers. It was obvious to everyone there why these two have won so many dance competitions!

Dancing is a great way to stay active no matter what age and to have fun doing it. Dietmar and Nellia’s love of performing is so infectious that after watching the video below, you’re sure to want to get up and dance yourself!
