Have you ever been stuck at home and unsure how to pass the time? That was the case for Frank Maglio Jr. and his wife Gina. Frank loved playing the guitar but often didn’t have the time. During the pandemic, he took the opportunity to pick up the guitar more frequently and discovered his parrot’s hidden talent.
Tico, their Amazon parrot adopted from an elderly British woman, is a beloved pet. While they already enjoyed having a parrot, their affection grew even more when they discovered how much Tico enjoyed listening to the guitar.
One day, while Frank was playing the guitar, Tico decided to join in and sing along. It all started with the song „Stairway to Heaven“, after which Gina quickly grabbed her phone and began recording the enchanting duo.
They first uploaded the video to YouTube, and then to Facebook. They now have a new YouTube channel where Frank regularly shares videos of himself and his parrot duets singing. Remarkably, over 250,000 people have subscribed to the channel to enjoy their performances.
In addition to YouTube, he also posts his videos on Facebook. Not only do people enjoy listening to Frank play the guitar, but they also admire Tico’s ability to sing.
