Due to financial difficulties, the family decided to keep their dog in the arena, with a note explaining their choice. Under the supervision of a volunteer, she was given a second chance.
Next to the dog was a bag of food and a note explaining the decision of its owners.
After seeing a post by Patricia Trice on the Jacksonville’s Lost Pets Facebook group, a local volunteer arrived on the scene to retrieve the animal. Brittany Francicus took her home to take care of her, expecting to find her a new family. She could only leave her temporarily because she already has 6 dogs.
Luckily for the dog in question, the wait was short. Thanks to a Facebook post, a new loving family was quickly found for her. The couple adopted her and named her Luna.
